    Vykin Corporation is currently looking for an experienced Secret cleared, TS/SCI eligible Network Engineer to join our team in Miami, FL. We are a small defense contracting company that is veteran owned servicing the US Department of Defense.  The successful candidate will receive competitive wages, health plans and the opportunity to join a small company that still believes every employee counts

    Responsibilities

    • Establish Network information requirements in developing enterprise-wide/large-scale networking infrastructures (CAN, MAN, WAN).
    • Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment and devices (i.e. call manager, routers, switches, firewalls, IDS, Crypto, QoS).
    • Validate and test all hardware and software updates, patches, and upgrades prior to implementing on the network.
    • Apply and enforce patches, updates, and DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
    • Design architectures to include software, hardware and communications to support total customer requirements, as well as provide for present and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces.
    • Analytically and systematically evaluate problems of work flows and network usage, organization and planning and develop appropriate corrective action.
    • Resolve interoperability problems to obtain operations across all platforms including email, file transfer, multimedia, teleconferencing, authentication, and the like.
    • Configure, test, and maintain CAN/WAN/MAN networks, equipment and related services.
    • Identify, diagnose, and resolve network problems.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all implemented networks.
    • Analyze network topologies and traffic and capacity requirements.
    • May perform additional network administration duties as directed.
    • May administer network security and/or maintain network security appliances.
    • Participate in special projects as required.

    Qualifications

    Required:

    • High School Diploma/GED
    • A minimum of nine (9) years of experience performing Network Administration/Engineering
      • Advanced education in a relevant field can count towards the equivalent years of experience (Associate's degree equals 2 years of experience, Bachelor's degree equals 4 years of experience, etc).
    • An active in-scope Secret clearance and the ability to obtain/maintain a TS/SCI 
    • DoD 8570.01 compliant at IAT level II or higher (e.g. CompTIA Security+)

    Preferred:

    • Associate’s, Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology or related discipline
    • CCNA/CCNP and/or MCSA/MCITP certifications
    • ITIL-F v3
    • Recent experience supporting MNIS networks/systems
    • Bilingual - Spanish/English

    Working Conditions

    The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.  The work location is a government facility located on a military installation in Miami, FL, supporting a DoD customer.  The successful applicant will be working for and reporting directly to the prime contractor or the DoD customer as appropriate.
