  • Overview

    Vykin Corporation is currently looking for an experienced TS/SCI cleared Email Engineer to join our team in Reston, VA.  We are a small defense contracting company that is veteran owned servicing the US Department of Defense.  The successful candidate will receive competitive wages, health plans and the opportunity to join a small company that still believes every employee counts.


    • Analyze the client’s technical requirements, concept of operations documents, and high-level system architectures to develop enterprise-wide e-mail system requirements specifications, analyze system requirements, and lead design and development activities pertaining to enterprise e-mail systems implementation and delivery.
    • Guide clients in formulating requirements, advise alternative approaches, and conducting feasibility studies.
    • Provide technical leadership for the integration of requirements, design, and e-mail technology implementation.
    • Incorporate new plans, designs, and systems into on-going operations and develop system architecture and system design documentation.
    • Guide system development and implementation planning through the assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration and test plans.
    • Interact with the client regarding systems engineering technical considerations and for associated problems, issues, or conflicts.
    • Maintain responsibility for the technical integrity of work performed and deliverables associated with the systems engineering area of responsibility, including communicate with other program personnel, government overseers, and senior executives.



    • High School Diploma/GED with 8 years of relevant experience (advanced degrees can coutn toward the equivalent years of experience)
    • DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (e.g. CompTIA security+)\
    • TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a CI Poly.


    Required knowledge, skills, experience:

    • Experience with Microsoft exchange mail backup and journaling technical solutions
    • Experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2012R2 and newer
    • Experience in operating and maintaining enterprise Microsoft exchange services, including mailbox administration, database availability groups (DAGs), and Email proxy services
    • Experience with Microsoft exchange mail backup and journaling technical solutions



    • Bachelor's degree with 6 years of experience.
    • ITIL Foundation Level certification

    Working Conditions

    The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.  The work location is a government facility located on a military installation in Reston, VA  supporting a DoD customer.  The successful applicant will be working for and reporting directly to the prime contractor or the DoD customer as appropriate.
