    Vykin Corporation is currently looking for an experienced Contract/Subcontract Administrator to join our team in Reston, VA.  We are a small defense contracting company that is veteran owned servicing the US Department of Defense.  The successful candidate will receive competitive wages, health plans and the opportunity to join a small company that still believes every employee counts.

    Responsibilities

    Vykin Corporation seeks a  Contract/Subcontract Administrator to join its team in Reston, VA to assist managing routine contract administration, proposals, purchase orders and subcontracts under the direct supervision and guidance of the Contracts Manager.  The company’s contracts consist primarily of indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity prime contracts and subcontracts, for services with a growing number of task orders.  The ideal candidate should have  strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.  The candidate shall possess strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, attention to detail, be analytical and creative in problem solving, and have exceptional customer service skills.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    The applicant will be responsible for cradle-to-grave contract and subcontract administration. Duties include drafting requests for proposals (RFPs); preparing and negotiating purchase orders, subcontracts, non-disclosure agreements, and teaming agreements; and managing the closeout of contracts and subcontracts.  The applicant will communicate with Vykin’s customers as well as its vendors and subcontractors.

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
    • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in contracts and subcontracts administration
    • Must be a U.S. citizen be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance

     

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    The applicant must be familiar with the following:

    • Fixed price contracts, cost type contracts, time and materials contracts
    • The Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and other agency supplements
    • The Truth in Negotiations Act
    • Contractor purchasing system review (CPSR) requirements
    • Cost and price analysis

    • Excellent written and oral communication skills

    • Experience with the Microsoft Office suite of products (e.g.; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

     

    Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    The applicant will have a working knowledge of:

    • Intellectual property and data rights
    • General Services Administration (GSA) federal supply schedules
    • Accounting and procurement software (e.g.; Jamis, Deltek Costpoint, Oracle)
    • Reseller agreements

    Working Conditions

    The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.  The work location is Reston, VA.
