    Vykin Corporation is currently looking for an experienced Contract/Subcontract Administrator to join our team in Reston, VA.  We are a small defense contracting company that is veteran owned servicing the US Department of Defense.  The successful candidate will receive competitive wages, health plans and the opportunity to join a small company that still believes every employee counts.

    Responsibilities

    Vykin Corporation seeks a Contracts Administrator to join its team in Reston, VA to assist managing routine contract administration, proposals, purchase orders and subcontracts under the direct supervision and guidance of the Contracts Manager.  The company’s contracts consist primarily of indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity prime contracts and subcontracts, for services with a growing number of task orders.  The ideal candidate should have  strong interpersonal skills, good judgment, and the ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.  The candidate shall possess strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, attention to detail, be analytical and creative in problem solving, and have exceptional customer service skills.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

     

    The successful candidate will be responsible for full lifecycle contracts and subcontracts administration and occasional backup proposal/pricing coordination. 

     

    Duties include but are not limited to:reviewing non-disclosure agreements,contract and task order modifications,

    teaming agreements; working with program management and pricing personnel to help generate necessary terms of offer and compliant proposals; submitting required reports and requests to customers for contract action; and supporting program and financial contract closeout activity.    

      

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:                                                

    • Associate degree with 2 years of experience from an accredited university in business or business-related fields such as administration, management, finance, accounting or pre-law, or HS diploma with a minimum of six years of relevant work experience.
    • A minimum of two years of recent DoD contracts experience.
    • Must be a US citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. 

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

     

    The candidate must be familiar with the following:

    • Federal Acquisition Regulation
    • Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement
    • Various contract types, including but not limited to, time and materials, fixed price, cost-type contracts as well as indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contracts and blanket purchase agreements
    • DCAA and DCMA audits
    • Truth in Negotiations Act
    • International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR)
    • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat

    Preferred Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    • Bachelors degree in business or business-related fields such as administration, management, finance, accounting or pre-law.
    • Intellectual Property and Data Rights
    • General Services Administration (GSA) Federal Supply Schedules
    • Contractor Purchasing System Reviews

    Working Conditions

    The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.  The work location is Reston, VA.
