Overview

Vykin Corporation is currently looking for an experienced Secret cleared Senior Cyber Security Analyst  to join our team in Stuttgart, Germany, supporting the Joint Enterprise Network (JEN).  We are a small defense contracting company that is veteran owned servicing the US Department of Defense.  The successful candidate will receive above average wages, medical, and vacation plans as well as the opportunity to join a small company that still believes that every employee counts.

Responsibilities

CITS effort provides IT transformation and innovation on a large project, with the shared objectives to sustain and optimize mission critical operations and to provide full life-cycle O&M and Engineering support to EUCOM and AFRICOM. The Cyber Security Analyst is responsible for the developing cyber security programs, processes, policies, and procedures. 

 

Daily responsibilities:

  • Provide services and support to ensure the confidentially, integrity and availability of accredited C4 networks

  • Implement Information Assurance (IA) / Cybersecurity strategies for the accredited C4 networks consistent with DoD and National Security Agency (NSA) guidance respectively

  • Ensure all personnel granted with elevated privileges or performing IA functions on systems/networks are trained and certified in accordance with the DoD Manual 8570.01M, Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program and ensure compliance with CYBERCOM directives

  • Review customer incident request and policy exception requests to make recommendations to the Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) regarding the security aspects of the requests

  • Prepare for, assist with, and monitor IA assessments (network readiness assessments, DISA Security Readiness Reviews (SRR), Command Cyber Readiness Inspections, NSA Red and Blue Team assessments, vulnerability scans, certification and accreditation reviews) for USEUCOM

  • Develop and/or implement corrective courses of action for findings identified during these assessments

  • Develop technical standards (SOP/TTPs, technical implementation instructions, or other required documentation) for security devices, security operations and other operations as required for Government approval

  • Ensure all technical standards are updated, maintained, and centrally located for distribution as needed

  • The candidate will also provided Tier III support for security related issues and recommendations on new hardware and software requests

     

Qualifications

Required:

  • A current active in-scope Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI
  • Must be able to obtain certification as a Technical Expert by the German Government under the Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) process
  • DoD 8570 IAT level III compliance (e.g. CISSP, etc)

 

Minimum Educational Requirement:

  • High School Diploma with eleven (11) years IT experience OR, Associate's degree with seven (7) plus years of experience OR, a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of five (5) years of related experience

 

Required Skills/Experience/Knowledge:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of direct Cyber/Information Assurance experience
  • Understand NIST 800 series of Special Publications, disaster/contingency planning, risk assessment, and the NIST Risk Management Framework
  • Knowledge of DoD IA/Cybersecurity and IT regulations and guidance
  • Strong background on McAfee ePO or DISA HBSS Deployment and Implementation
  • Strong background in Vulnerability and Patch Management Processes
  • Background in Nessus Security Center or ACAS Deployment
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills

 Desired Skills:

  • RedHat Linux STIG Experience (RHEL 6 or 7)
  • Window Active Directory, DNS Security Technical Implementation Guide(STIG) Experience
  • Carbonblack or Bit9 experience
  • Compliance Auditing
  • Cyber Task Order coordination experience

Working Conditions

The work is typically performed in an office environment, which requires normal safety precautions; work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment. The work location is a government facility located on a military installation in Stuttgart, Germany supporting a DoD customer.  The successful applicant will be working for and reporting directly to the prime contractor or the DoD customer as appropriate.
