Overview

Vykin Corporation is currently looking for an experienced TS/SCI cleared SCCM Patch Management Systems Engineer to join our team in Norfolk, VA.  We are a small defense contracting company that is veteran owned servicing the US Department of Defense.  The successful candidate will receive a competitive wages, health plans and the opportunity to join a small company that still believes every employee counts.

Responsibilities

  • Support Enterprise Server and Workstation Patch Management.
  • Perform a variety of analytical tasks which are broad in nature and deal with design and implementation, including personnel, hardware, software and support facilities and/or equipment.  
  • Perform, with some latitude, un-reviewed actions and decisions.
  • Plan and perform analytical and engineering research, design development, and other assignments in conformance with design, engineering and customer specifications.
  • Coordinate activities of technicians assigned to specific analytical projects.
  • Provide the following services: 
    • Acquire new approved, baseline releases from the Enterprise;
    • Use automated tools or manual methods to push builds and patches to remote servers and workstations;
    • Adhere to strict configurations, change, and release management procedures;
    • Assist field support technicians with server and workstation patching problems

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in a related field, or the equivalent years of related experience.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of experience in Systems Administration including at least one year of experience with MS SCCM
  • An Active in-scope TS/SCI clearance
    • Ability to pass a CI polygraph
  • DoD 8570 level II compliant (e.g. CompTIA security+)

  • ITIL Foundation

Working Conditions
